The US Government for years has been defeating liberal attempts to allow a racial heirarchy in Hawaii to remove the federal government's presence in Hawaii. President Obama, however, has been pushing extremely hard to make this heirarchy exist and dominate the ethnic American presence there. There are many legal reasons why this shouldn't happen ever. The most important issue is that the people of the US, not Obama, should make this decision.
In the Constitution, there is a very specific set of powers given to the President. Policy making, especially the secession of states, is not one of those powers. States should never secede from the United States. Institutionalized racism is wrong. The people of the United States should make this decision through their legislature.
